This was immediately followed by the dismantling of the 108 metre long main boom and the suspended ballast so that traffic could once again pass over the crane site on Monday morning.
In the following nights, the crane will be dismantled further and set up on the opposite side of the tracks so that the last of five elements (up to 108 tonnes) can also be lifted out. The low-speed bridge was replaced by the new Hagnau overpass as part of the major SBB project ‘Unbundling Muttenz’.
