The work took place under nasty weather conditions: Heavy snowfall and wintry conditions made the job at over 1,350 meters above sea level even more difficult. For our crane driver Remo, this meant fitting four snow chains at once.
Familiar collaboration for decades
For EMIL EGGER, the assignment was not only technically demanding, but also emotionally special: back in 2000, our team had the privilege of transporting and installing the new Säntis cabins. So it is all the more rewarding to be involved in the next chapter of the Säntis Railway’s rich tradition.
The new cable car is one of the most important cable car projects in Switzerland. The existing installation will be extensively modernized and technically upgraded to meet future requirements in terms of safety, wind stability and operation.
