This challenging task required picking up the 7-metre-long supports weighing up to 2.6 tons from the ground and turning them 90° to place them under the finished balconies. The work, which took place just 1 cm from the finished windows and soffits, was supported by 2 aerial work platforms.
With the crane hand, which ETE developed together with partners, we have an extremely flexible lifting device that allows the installation of parts weighing up to 10 tons in places that were previously inaccessible with a crane.
The crane hand is particularly suitable for special assemblies and is also used for numerous industrial relocations. It can be mounted on our two electric ESK 30 cranes and the largest special crane in Switzerland, the ESK 75, in our fleet. One of the ESK 30s can also drive on non-asphalted surfaces, which further increases the range of applications.
