Technical masterpiece in midsummer conditions
In less than eight hours, our teams, together with VSL Schweiz AG, PraderLosinger SA, GVH | Ingénieurs civils EPF/SIA and SBB, lifted five bridge elements with individual weights of between 35 and 120 tons into place. The main supporting structure, weighing around 1100 tons, was then pushed precisely into its final position over a distance of 15 meters using two hydraulic cylinders from VSL Heavy Lifting.
The bridge, previously pre-stressed by VSL, was permanently positioned on the bearings supplied and installed by our teams after being moved. This final technical operation marks the successful completion of VSL’s work on this project.
