Successful dismantling weekend in Muttenz

Last week, EMIL EGGER AG delivered two of the largest and heaviest parts of the tunnel boring machine for the second tube of the Gotthard tunnel.

The artwork “Schräg im Gleichgewicht” was created in 1984. It was dismantled in 2014 for the renovation of the entrance area and temporarily stored at Werdhölzli.

We had the exciting task of moving the façade supports with our special ESK 30 crane and the attached crane hand with millimeter precision on a nearly completed building.

In the night from 8 to July 9, the first stage of the crane work for the dismantling of the Freuler Bridge came to an end in Muttenz.

At the beginning of May, we were involved in the dismantling of the “Great Pflugfelder Bridge” in Kornwestheim. The truss bridge dates back to 1917 and crosses the tracks of an important shunting and transhipment yard in the greater Stuttgart area.

Our industrial relocation team recently had the task of temporarily storing, transporting, lifting and positioning a bottle washing and filling system for Allegra Passugger Mineralquellen AG.

Rhenus Port Logistics is investing in a new transshipment terminal in the Rhine port of Basel-Kleinhünigen. EMIL EGGER was entrusted with the logistics of the prefabricated concrete elements.

Until a few years ago, the former Hunter fighter aircraft of the Swiss Air Force were among the highlights at airshows in Switzerland. So was the Papyrus Hunter. The jet has been looked after and maintained by the Hunter association Obersimmental for many years. Unfortunately, the increasingly strict regulations became its downfall. In autumn 2023, the Papyrus was flown over to Altenrhein for its annual inspection. It was no longer allowed to take off from there.

The EMIL EGGER Group’s new logistics center in Härkingen is now complete. With a length of 120 metres and a width of 62 metres, the building has impressive dimensions and offers us and our customers particular flexibility and new possibilities.
