New energy for Uri - EMIL EGGER masters Alpine transportation

Four new ENERCON wind turbines commissioned by EW Ursern and Energie Uri (EWA) for Andermatt are really getting things moving in the canton of Uri - and our team from EMIL EGGER was right in the middle of it all.

From the port of Birsfelden (Birsterminal), we transported a total of four systems safely to the Gütsch at over 2300 m above sea level. On site, our specialists used state-of-the-art crane technology to ensure precise unloading under sometimes difficult conditions in alpine terrain.

A project that shows: With the right planning, a strong partnership and a well-coordinated team, (almost) anything is possible. Many thanks to everyone involved for the excellent cooperation!

The listed railroad bridge – over which around 200 trains pass every day – is currently being extensively renovated. The last major renovation was carried out in 1987.
