SBB Pfungen station

1000 t crawler crane work and changeover in record time

Last weekend, the ETE employees performed an extraordinary feat. The starting signal for the operation was given on Friday morning at 4:00 am. At Pfungen railway station, we were able to move a pre-concreted pedestrian subway including the associated stair and ramp elements up to 170 t with our 1000 t Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane.

After noon, the six elements had already been lifted into place, which meant that we could start moving the crane with a good head start. With two mobile cranes, three special semi-trailers and a highly motivated team, we managed to move the crane to the next work site 300 m away by Sunday noon.

After the test lift on Sunday afternoon, we were prepared for the lift of the 500 t subway on Monday morning. With a lot of good weather luck, we managed to successfully complete this project.

Many thanks to ARGE EMUWE (Stutz AG / Müller Gleisbau AG) for the good cooperation, the trust placed in us and the exciting contract. Also a big thank you to all the people involved, who did a great job both on the construction site and in the background this weekend and in advance.

After the job is before the job and so the dismantling was started again directly after the lifting. Our 1000 t caterpillar crane has been ready for the next challenge in western Switzerland since Friday evening.
