New logistics center in Härkingen

Expanded capacities for the storage of heavy goods and general cargo

The EMIL EGGER Group's new logistics center in Härkingen is now complete. With a length of 120 metres and a width of 62 metres, the building has impressive dimensions and offers us and our customers particular flexibility and new possibilities.

The logistics center comprises:

  • A basement with parking spaces for 180 cars and a corresponding number of e-charging stations.
  • A ground floor with a 3,100 m² heavy goods warehouse, equipped with one 32-tonne and three 16-tonne indoor cranes, which facilitate the storage and retrieval of large and heavy goods.
  • A goods handling area covering 4,100 m² with a total of 10 loading ramps and five 10-tonne overhead cranes.
  • Three floors with a combination of office and warehouse space, totalling over 10,000 m² of storage space.
  • In addition, we have installed a photovoltaic system on the large roof area, which covers part of our electricity requirements. Our ETE warehouse team has now moved into the 2nd floor as a new workplace, where training rooms, recreation rooms, bunks and cloakrooms have also been set up.

Thanks to the prefabricated concrete components, the building shell was completed in just 13 months. The heaviest components, weighing up to 35 tonnes, were assembled efficiently using our 750 tonne crawler crane.

We are proud of our team and everyone involved in making this fantastic project possible!

The Hawker Hunter aeroplane is safely back at the Hunter association Obersimmental
Until a few years ago, the former Hunter fighter aircraft of the Swiss Air Force were among the highlights at airshows in Switzerland. So was the Papyrus Hunter. The jet has been looked after and maintained by the Hunter association Obersimmental for many years. Unfortunately, the increasingly strict regulations became its downfall. In autumn 2023, the Papyrus was flown over to Altenrhein for its annual inspection. It was no longer allowed to take off from there.
