Recovery after train accident

RAILWAY WAGON DERAILED BY STORM RECOVERED BY EMIL EGGER

At the end of March, a violent storm blew a three-car train composition off the tracks in Lüscherz, Bern. Of the 16 passengers on the train at the time, three were injured. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. EMIL EGGER AG was entrusted with the rescue.

Lifting and removal on the muddy terrain was a challenge. Numerous roadway slabs had to be laid in order to reach the accident site with the heavy vehicles.

With three crane vehicles, the train was raised again and then made ready for removal via low-loader. The heavy transport went to our heavy goods depot in Härkingen to find out the repair possibilities there.
