The excavator shovel alone, with a volume of 55 cubic meters, is impressive. This corresponds roughly to the volume of the roof of a detached house.

In future, it will be possible to admire this colossus up close. As an exhibit in the new Heavy Metal Garden in Appenzeller Park. This excavator is the seventh largest in the world, with a weight of 800 tons, a height of 13 meters and a power of 4040 HP!

In the coming weeks, the excavator will now be assembled by 8 fitters and our cranes and we can look forward to guided tours where we can not only look at this giant, but also touch and climb on it.

Setting up the excavator live on site or via webcam (https://appenzellerpark.ch/heavy-metal-garden/)

A big thank you to everyone who was involved in this extraordinary event!
